Committees

College of Nursing, East Coast Institute of Medical Sciences (CON-EIMS) has 12 Committees for co-ordinating college activities. Each committee conducts periodic meetings and minutes are recorded and maintained.The committees are as follows and few committees are highlighted.

A. Anti Ragging Committee of CON-EIMS was constituted in the year 2010, headed by the Registrar Dr. A.P.Vijayan. Representatives from the faculty members, parents, students are included in the committee. It meets regularly twice in a year to plan and discuss about the activities. Online undertaking in the Anti Ragging website is completed by the students every year. Totally 19 CCTV Cameras are installed in Class rooms, Labs and vital areas. A seminar on Anti Ragging measures was arranged for newly admitted students on 26.09.2018.

B. Anti Sexual Harassment Cell of CON-EIMS was constituted on 05.10.2016, headed by the Correspondent Mrs. Joyce Varghese. It meets regularly twice in a year to plan the activities and also to discuss about the activities carried out. A Workshop on Sexual Harassment Prevention was conducted on 29.01.2019. No Sexual harassment complaints received till date.

C. Prevention of Caste based Discrimination Committee of CON-EIMS was formed on 17.07.2017 as per University Grants Commission letter, headed by the Principal. Committee meets regularly twice in a year to ensure that no discrimination occur among staff or students of College of Nursing, EIMS. A separate register is maintained for receiving complaints.

D. Grievance Redressal Committee of CON-EIMS was formed on 18.08.2017, headed by the Principal. It maintains a harmonious educational atmosphere in the institution. It regularly meets twice in a year and whenever needed. Suggestion box is kept in the college and opened every month. As per the students suggestions the library timing is changed from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm (from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm), 1st and 3rd Saturdays are declared holidays instead of 2nd and 4th Saturday.
